Just some fun Photography

I just loved these shots. I know that they seem boring, but I can't believe the clarity. Mostly I post them for Scott, because I know he would do the same for me.

Sweet shots

Taking pictures of Brad doing his thing out there was so tricky, but I managed to get a few shots that I LOVE. He's a great skiier and wakeboarder.
I think this one should be a poster. I loved the whole look of it. I got some others that were of him getting awesome air, but the lighting on this one was amazing.
Catie doing her thing. I do have pics of Amy and me skiing too, but I didn't know if she'd mind if I put it on, and the sight of me isn't so pretty!

Good food and Great shoes

Well I made it home last night from my 6 days in the Utah heat. I had a great time, other than missing Michael. I ate my heart out (Cafe Rio, Sonic, Coldstone, homemade peach pie and much more) went skiing, shopping, and got to see Tasha and Christopher. They were nice enough to drive down to see me even though I'm sure they could have been doing many other things. I sure love them both! For those of you who don't know, I met Tasha my second year at Ricks and fell instantly in love with her! We moved to Provo along with Amber to all go to BYU, and then my last year I lost her to her mission.

I actually got up on skiing while down there. Catie is way better than me though. The water in Utah lake was seriously nasty. Nice green top coat all over the water. It wasn't the best sitting in the water for too long. I got some great pics of everyone skiing, and Amy tried her best to get some of me. It's hard to get a good one on a moving boat. Brad was the champ and I got great pics of him. I'll have to post them for you to see if Amy doesn't get to it first.

Cafe Rio was delightful. I suprisingly only got it twice, but it was so good! I love that place. I could eat everything over and over and never get sick of it. It's a good thing we don't have one here or I might look a little larger.

Other than eating, I spent most of my time there shopping. I am a HUGE shoe addict! I know that if I ever get money, Michael could be in trouble. We did find some awesome sales at this time of year, and I came home with 7 pairs. I know, it seems like tons, but when I mean sales, I mean like $3, $4, and $6 pairs. So I didn't go money crazy. It was wonderful. My last day we hit another huge sale but I had already spent my money so I forced myself to leave without looking. It was hard, but I did it. If I lived there I might be broke. So many sales all of the time. It totally doesn't account for the exchange. You can't compare to the prices down there, so I really saved us money hey? That's how I like to think about it. Well here's some pics of the trip, I'll get more on later. Michael and I are heading up to the condo for the rest of the weekend, and then it's back to work on Monday. Michael has 1 last week of work before school starts, and then the playing slows down. I can't believe this month has gone this fast. I hate how quickly the summer goes away, but at the same time I love the fall. I love getting to wear warmer clothes and how the leaves change. I love it up until the first snow and then I want summer back. Oh well, what are ya going to do???

Catie and Me. Our photographer was Annie so our heads got a little cut off.
Sarah the Monkey. I tried really hard the whole trip to come up with a nickname for her. I love to have nicknames for the kiddies. I finally decided on Monkey. She gets around like one. She "crawls" on her feet and hands and she can motor. It's hilarious. I also spent my whole trip trying to get her to call me Ninna. When Catie was a baby that's what she called me. The kids up here now call me Leela. I think I was successful with Sarah though. I had her saying "nin nin" but I'm not sure if she knew what she was doing. I like to think she did.
Tasha and Christopher! Thank you for seeing me!
Me and all the kiddies right before we left for the airport. I had a great time with them. Posted by Picasa

Utah Bound

Well I'm off to Utah tomorrow with Amy and the kids. I thought I would be so excited to go, but I have totally mixed emotions. I HATE leaving without Michael. I'm so bummed we can't go together, and I know that once I'm there I'll have a great time, but for right now, I feel sad. I've just been packing up, and I must admit, it brings about the strangest deja vu. Packing in August to drive to Utah. Hmmm...it feels like I'm going to school. Weird. I am very much looking forward to some wonderful Cafe Rio. I think I'll make Amy stop there tomorrow right when we get there. I need a pork salad! I also get to see Tasha and Christopher while I'm there and I couldn't be more excited about that! I want to get to the temple too. Amy lives literally 5 minutes from Mount Timpanogas so I'm excited to go to one I've never been in. I'm also excited to get some Cold Stone. How come I plan every trip according to what I'm going to eat there? I need to get some new hobbies. I'm sure we'll go boating, and that Amy and Brad will make me get up on the ski. I'll just to have to tough it out this time. Although Utah lake isn't my favorite, Amy assures me that it's cleaner this year? The last time I was in it, I got so sick the next day. That's not a good memory for me, and I'm pretty sure it had something to do with that water. Nothing can compare to the beautiful and clean lakes we find up here. Anyway, I'd better get to sleep seeing as though Michael's already in bed. I'm taking my trusty camera so you can be sure of more pics! I'm sure I'll post down there too!

My Michael

One of my favorite things in the whole world is Michael's laugh. When he laughs really hard, it's nearly impossible not to join right in. I was so happy to capture that look on his face when something has really struck him. Ohhh, my Michael! Posted by Picasa

Playing again

Just testing some things, sorry! Posted by Picasa

Catie and Sommer

The oldest girls have "graduated" and are now able to come to the civilized lunches we get to go to every once in a while. They joined Mom and all of the sisters that are here (minus Kerri) for lunch at Cheesecake Cafe on Monday. In case you are wondering, YES, I did eat out a great deal this weekend. Posted by Picasa

Retuning

So I just discovered some sweet tools on Picasa, and this is the result of some playing. Posted by Picasa

Sarah

I really liked this shot I got of Sarah. I just love it when it comes out all clear and you can really see the detail in their little faces. After shooting some shots with our camera, and then with Scott's, I realized how much I want Scott's. Oh well, we'll have to really save our pennies for that one. Until then, I'm totally satisfied! Posted by Picasa

Picnic in the Park

I was just fooling around with the camera while we were picnicing at Confederation Park Monday night with the Palmer clan (minus H&G). Cyndi made us all dinner and then good times were had throwing a baseball and football for the rest of the night. I just realized how little I post any of the Palmer pics. I guess that's because it's so much easier to get the little kiddies to pose for you, so I decided to get some "action" shots of the night. Michael catching for Brett
Jeffrey tossing the football around.
Kandice admiring her nice throw.

Belated Birthday

Well we finally got to celebrate Cyndi's birthday with her on Saturday. The family went out for dinner at Chili's and then back to the house for ice cream and peaches. She didn't want a cake. The kids all chipped in a bought her a private ballroom dance lesson for her and Kevin, and a cd of a bunch of ballroom music to get them started! We think they'll love it.
She's really just posing for the picture since the flash was taking forever.
This is Michael and me at Chili's before everyone got there. We had just been at Peter's with my family while they ate dinner so we got to the restaurant early.
I just liked this one of Michael eating his ice cream. Posted by Picasa

Family Night

So Amy and Brad and kiddies arrived early this morning, and we're so excited to have them here. They had to drive through the night so needless to say, they were wiped. We all met at Mom and Dad's after work and such for pizza. I brought my camera of course!! I hope none of you are sick of seeing pics of kids that aren't mine, but they are the best to practice photography on. I had to take advantage of all 10 grand kids being here at the same time. I'll be taking lots in the next few days I'm sure. Anyway, there are 10 in total as old as 10 and as young as 8 months. They love being together!

Here's Catie and Sommer with the babies. It's so hard to take a pic of all of them looking in the same direction at the same time

Lara was mocking my self portraits. It's the only way to document that I was actually there too.
So she did one of herself to show me what I looked like...pretty funny actually. I have much more practice than she does hey?

Pics continued

Here's Sarah with her new toothin. She's just 12 hours older than Erik. She's still warming up to all of the strangers around her, but she's just soo cute!
This is Annie (Annalyn) after pouring water all over herself in an attempt to stay cool.Matty's fauxhawk. Sweet hey?
Mom watching us all tear up her house. She looks great in this one, and is finally getting along better with that foot of hers.

Pics con't again!

Here's Annie with Sarah. She's a poser for the camera, and is quite photogenic too!
I think this is one of my favorite shots of the night. I love the lighting on this one. Here's the kiddies trying to pose for a pic. It's so hard to get them all looking at the same time. This is the best one I could get.
I made them all make funny faces, and they did a pretty good job hey? Funny kids!

Well since Lara's recently found this song that I love soooo much, I thought I would put this slideshow together. I sure love all of my little girls. Check it out here

Matty Moo!

This is Matty! He was driving the car yesterday while we were out in Cochrane and he was in heaven. He's got the best little lips and the hugest eyes and will certainly kill the girls when he's older. Posted by Picasa
